A Lovely Future

I guess it has been a while since I have updated on how the early days of our marriage have been going and I am happy to report everything is going wonderfully.

As you can see we upgraded from our
cooler/bucket chairs to some awesome
camping chairs
A special 'thank you'  to the
Schmutz and Keyes family for the cooler and food storage bucket.
I don't know what we would have used during dinner without them.

Good thing we live with in walking distance
 to a Wal*Mart.

We've even had a visitor come! She loved every minute she was with us.
Hanna was actually with us so she could go to some AFY thing where they only let you shower once, ride ponies and do some river rafting. I still think she would have had more fun with me and Ryan.

And coming home to Mexican food every night
(with an occasional ramen noodle)
is the reason why I love my life..

..and Ryan

3,197 Miles Away

Ever wonder what happens when an engaged couple live super far apart? Skype, Facetime, chat on gmail, whatever is working the best at that particular time, gets used a lot.
And how do the conversations go?

The beginning of our conversation: happy and excited to see each other. Talking about how our day went, finding apartments, reception plans and then.....

10 minutes later Ryan has snack time.

Annnnd this is normally how our conversations end. Ryan asleep and me making faces at myself.

the engagement

The only picture Ryan and I actually agreed on. Truthfully, I liked 99% of them. Ryan liked the other 1%. This was the only picture he said would be okay to use for the announcements:) I could have used any of the others..........

...................except this one.............

These are some of the other pictures I thought would be good for the announcements, but didn't have what it takes:

Taking pictures on the beach was not the easiest thing. Ryan and I would be holding one pose for a couple minutes while we waited for people to walk by and Jess would be holding the camera waiting for it to just be a shot of us.
Most of the pictures actually had people in the background, but we just cropped them out.. or made the picture black and white.

Most of the pictures that we took (and liked) were taken at Naples Beach and on a boardwalk. We tried to take pictures on a pier, but the lighting created one too many shadows.

We were a bit tired of taking pictures by this time.. :)
